GOPAC Bingo!

Here's the thing - Palin is clearly stringing phrases together that she's heard somewhere. Now we know where:

The thing is, Palin's not completely empty-headed. She's actually a trained GOPAC protégé.

Back in the heyday of GOPAC, when it was Newt Gingrich's operation, one of the chief functions of the organization was to equip the Republican "farm team" with the kind of rhetoric Newt was well-known for. Attention grabbing, bombastic, and most importantly, focus-group tested for resonance. Right down to the molecular level. They actually used to distribute a list of words they wanted you to use to describe Republicans and Republican policies, and those they wanted used to describe Democrats and Democratic policies. (emphasis mine)

So - either Bingo or a drinking game. Print out a list of the latest GOPAC talking points and words, and every time Sarah says one, BINGO! or a drink!

Somebody else find the list ... I don't really care ...

Gigabyte UMPC

This is what I want, or something like it:

Mission Impossible

The Republican in this Chris Matthews clip says that during the debate Palin has to "literally reach through the TV and grab those working Americans"...

I guess she's lost, then.

Is there any comparison to be made between John C. Calhoun and Sarah Palin? I have no idea why this question came to mind.

From some time ago ...

What is Palin's area of expertise? Reform? That's like the ability to pull weeds makes one a gardener. Republicans like pulling weeds, but unfortunately they typically can't tell the difference between a weed and a flower or a vegetable. They never have anything useful to plant, so we end up with barren ground.
