Had Enough?

If the Democrats regain control of Congress this year, they could sit on their hands for two years and the country would still be better off.

The One True Party is dismantling our country's carefully woven web of protective laws in the dead of night.

Sugar Sweetened Coca-Cola

I found the Original Formula Coca-Cola at the Kosher Passover display at Wegmans. It tastes better than the Pepsi we've had in the house since forever. But since it's in a plastic 2-liter bottle it's nothing like the old 6-ounce glass bottles I remember from camp back in the day. It has a yellow cap with the (U)P mark on it, meaning kosher for Passover.

I hardly ever drink Coke - my family prefers Pepsi - so it's kind of a nice treat to drink a cola without finding a film of corn syrup on my teeth and getting the burps. (Aren't you glad you asked?)

I also note that Antarctica Guarana is also sweetened with sugar, not corn syrup, and definitely tastes better than the Brasilia brand, which I think uses corn syrup.

Onward Christian Soldiers!

Onward to Iran! Because that Iraqistan deal worked out so well, and by golly, Our Dear Leader is the onliest one in the world with the cojones to do it. I know, 'cause he told me so hisself.

This faith based leadership is just ducky. Who needs facts and reason, when the voices in his head God tells Our Dear Leader what to do next?

Western New York Egg Cream

Not being one to keep milk around the house, I tried a new ingredient for an Egg Cream - Edensoy soy milk. It was pretty good. I kept with the U-Bet chocolate syrup and used Raspberry-Lime seltzer water. Please don't tell Mel Brooks.

This is also the season for real Coca-Cola, made with cane sugar, not corn syrup. There are those who believe that so-called New Coke was simply a marketing feint so that Coke could switch to corn syrup without anyone really knowing the difference.
